Congratulations to Stephen Elliott as he made his debut for the Republic of Ireland and to Julio Arca who signed a new deal keeping him at Sunderland until 2007.
The reason the blog hasn't been updated for a while is that i've been on Gta San Andreas
Final mention to the disgraceful behaviour of the Spanish after sections of the crowd made "monkey noises" at Englands black players.Spain should suffer the biggest punishment possible for this.Luis Aragones "the english are racists"!!!! no we are not,you are mr aragones and so are the offenders who were chanting.

Sunderland recorded a memorable comeback against managerless Wolves at the Stadium Of Light.Wolves took the lead in an even first half through scottish striker Kenny Miller.Wolves hit Sunderland on the break before Miller cut in from the wing and fired a low shot past Thomas Mhyre.Sunderland were then twice unlucky not to score as a Carl Robinson header was tipped onto the bar and from the resulting corner a Stephen Wright header was cleared off the line.Michael Bridges was again influential for Sunderland,he was introduced at half time for Marcus Stewart and the fans lifted. After 57 minutes we got the goal we deserved.A screamer from Liam Lawrence equalised. He cut in from the left before curling a shot from the edge of the box into the top corner.Sunderland now believed about a comeback and Wolves fell to pieces.68 minutes saw another screamer from Sunderland, this time Michael Bridges charged through Wolves before passing to Stephen Elliott who had his back to goal,he turned and spectacularly hit a shot which clipped the bar before going in.Sunderland pretty much had the game sealed as Wolves no longer looked dangerous and seemed they had given up and on 80 minutes the game was over,a great cross by Julio Arca was hit on the volley at the back post by Lawrence, three goals in two games for him.The win was comfortable in the end,and two fantastic goals were seen that will live long in my memory.
My Man Of The Match:Liam Lawrence again, fantastic work rate and two good goals.

A good win in the end after a very dismal first half.Sunderland used their usual patient build up play and were unable to brake Brighton down as they put all of their men behind the ball. The second half however was different, with the introduction of Michael Bridges after 60 minutes we looked a different side and a few minutes later the deadlock was broken.A Sunderland midfielder rifled in a shot that Brighton keeper Michel Kuipers could only parry then Bridges tried an acrobatic affort which hit the underside of the bar and came out to Julio Arca who rattled home his second of the season.Sunderland then made their second change,Dean Whitehead on for Jeff Whitley.Sunderland looked to put Brighton out of their misery and finally did afte 82 minutes.A fantastic run by Liam Lawrence saw him get tripped in the box and Sunderland had a penalty.Lawrence took the spotkick himself and hammered the ball in the corner.Overall a good win after a dismal first half, then in the second Sunderland were brought to life and comfortably beat a mediorcre Brighton side.Sunderland move up to 5th in the table.
My Man Of The Match-Liam Lawrence.Thouroughly deserved his first Sunderland goal and was fantastic throughout.
next game:Wolves,home 2nd November

Its Out!!!!!!!!!
Gta San Andreas arrives in the UK and Europe today.Unfortunately for me i'll have to wait another week or so to get the game which is a pain but i'll appreciate it more when i eventually do get it.People who have the game have told me that you can play pool in bars and bet with the person your playing against to see who wins.
--------------------------------------- ------
Julio Arca last night collected his Fans Player Of The Year award at an award ceremony and Mick McCarthy has told Michael Bridges he'll have to wait for a chance in the first team, stupid really.I think Bridges and Elliott would make a great striking force.
