Default Mutu primed for return

Quote:
Juventus striker Adrian Mutu is primed for a return to action seven months after failing a drugs test.
The Romanian hit man is set to make an appearance for the Bianconeri on Sunday against Cagliari, with Juve having already secured the Serie A title.
Mutu inked a deal with the Turin giants in January having been shown the exit door at Stamford Bridge after a drugs test found traces of cocaine.
Juve coach Fabio Capello has hinted that Mutu will play some part on Sunday, although it is expected that the player will begin the game on the bench.
''I think that on Sunday, in the last game of the season, there will be a little space for him,'' said Capello.
Romania have already recalled Mutu to their squad for forthcoming World Cup qualification games against Holland and Armenia.
Good Luck to him and he might play against Zola to who is still playing great football at 39 it's unbelivable really.

Mutu will show chelsea he is a great player.

In the Premiership, you have to play in 10 matches to get a winners medal, anyone know how many games you have to play in Serie A to get a winners medal?

Aye I know that, I was just wondering whether he could get a winners medal having only played 1 game That would have been outrageous

Remember, the drug Mutu took weren't performace enhancing. We don't know what Rio could have been on...

Actually, let's not get into this debate, we'll be here all night

He was very good at Parma in the first place. But Juve have got Trezeguet, Ibrahimovic, Zalayeta and Del Piero who all play up front. Will be hard to get a place.

Latest News on Mutu

Quote:
Adrian Mutu says Jose Mourinho put him straight after his problems at Chelsea.

Mutu made his Juventus debut at the weekend after completing his ban for drug abuse which he picked up last October, whilst at Chelsea.

The Blues reacted by sacking the Romanian and he signed for Juve in January.

He has had to wait until now for his debut, but he is not bitter about his former boss.

"I don't think he wanted to harm me," he said.

"At the start of the season I asked him if he was counting on me and he said he was. He wouldn't have changed his mind after two months.

"I think he wanted to put me on the right path and maybe he has done.

"I'm more mature now. After all that has happened I know now what counts in life, private life and professional life.

"I am stronger now. I want to play football. I know that what happened was my fault alone. I am not looking for excuses because I don't want to repeat my mistakes. I feel much more at ease with myself now."

Mutu has already been linked with numerous moves to other Italian clubs as Juve get ready to wheel and deal in the summer's transfer market.

However, Mutu insists he is not listening to any reports about his future.

"These rumours don't annoy me anymore in fact they motivate me to show that I can play for Juventus," he told Sky Sport Italia.

"The club can't offer guarantees to anyone even if you are called Alessandro Del Piero - a legend of the game. It is not a battle between him and me. There are five strikers at the club and I am one of them."
