Download the CM10 demo & install it.

Got the full game now..same story for my XP rig. Spits the dummy at the game load start. The September patch makes no difference. Anyone know what it uses to display itself ? Whatever it is my XP doesn't like it ! Is there some Windows Service in the background that CM needs to run ? If so, it's the only modern game in the known universe, to behave in this fashion. Oh Brilliant !
I think I must be missing something here. I ordered the free download thinking this was the game I was gettng for a real bargain. However, it now appears to just be a demo. Ive downloaded it once had a look at it, switched it off and when Ive tried to open it up again it wont. So Im now having to download the all thing again, which takes ages..!! and it appears you can only download it three times..#?????? Been easier just to buy it...I think..!!

When you install the demo, it ends with some directx install as well. Perhaps the best thing is to get the latest copy of DX9.0c from the Microsoft site. Mine still won't start..can't even get an error message !

Right, when it loads at the start, i changed my the VideoCapture = 1 to 0, then it all works fine. When i come to play a game its all working until when the players r playing or i have the setting as only goals or extended highlights, when the players do that or score the goal, it crashes....? What can i do?

Thanks Brettuss123..nice try, but still no joy for me I'm afraid. I updated my X-Fi driver/firmware as you suggested, my nVidia9600 already having been updated. DX9 eh ? As I mentioned earlier..it runs fine on my DX10 Vista laptop ! (But I want it running on my Game Rig !) Never seen anything so ropey..BGS needs to take quality checking seriously.

When i try to run this demo it says that it is not a valid win32 application. Why is this!?! So frustrating! I just hope the full game will work now that ive allready paid for it :(
if game crashes when loading from 0 to 100% then goes back to desktop, i updated my graphics card driver software n also checked my direct x on my sound card to make sure bothe graphics card and sound card were directx 9.0 compatible, then rebooted then worked fine.

The demo doesnt work. it goes on to all the adverts when it goes to 1-100 loading screen it goes black and then an error report comes up can somebody help me please

Despite Dan's apparent cure for soe of us, it still hits the wall at the load screen for me. To further confuse the issue, I have a Vista laptop(DX10) I've tried it on..and it works ! Although a bit slow on a lappie of course. The Readme makes much of this demo being a DirectX 9.0C program ! I wonder what systems others here are playing it on..XP anyone ? Cheers, Phil Bird

Dan Humenko way works.. just tried it and problem solved people I had this problem before, where the game crashes when it goes to the 1-100% loading screen. Well to fix it you must go into documents, eidos, Championship manager , then go on the 'config' notepad and at the bottom of it, it says VideoCapture = 1, you must change that to VideoCapture = 0 hope it helps.

it dies the same with me it loads all the adverts but when it gets to the actual loading screen it gets and error and must close... help anyone

Whenever i click on the shortcut 'Launch Championship manager 2010 Demo' it does the adverts and then a popup comes saying Error Report, i've sent the report 3 times now. why is it doing this???

Greetings all, I've no idea what the game is like yet..it just will not start ! It runs with the opening logo movies, the intro screen..then it vanishes...crashes straight to the desktop, no error message..nuffin ! Steps I've taken.. 1.Editing the Config.txt, as suggested. 2. Upgraded nVidia video drivers to 190.62 3. Downloaded another zipped copy from a different site, in case corruption was an issue in the first download. 4. Installed into c:Program Files..etc. in case pathways were a problem. (I usually install ALL demos into c:demos.) My system is XP Pro, (SP3) Despite all that.. No appearance your worship ! Baffling... I really cannot understand how anybody could get this running. Phil Bird

champ 2010 has crashed twice now one when i was about to play a friendly n when i was loading my saved game! i HOPE the propper game works better (not impressed)

go to C/programFiles/Eidos... Crashed on 1 pc but was able to complete it on another. but game is too slow and takes dark ages to load...

played my first premiership match and went to continue and then it crashed and i would like them to change the matches like on championship manager 2007 on the xbox 360 where you could play the match or chose quick play which allows you to quickly to skip the match the score just happens it quickens the game up alot and its just as enjoyable so i hope they include this option.i also hope they include the mls league becasue there are players that play in that league and the demo didn't show that league so i couldn't buy them so it would be really good to include that league many thanks.
CM Crashes when loading saved game
Can anyone help? The program crashes when loading saved game. Previous 2 stages saved have worked ok, but just got to start of season and can't get it to start! Match time is FAR too long in this demo. It took nearly an hour to play a match last night, and that was with goal highlights only set. And seeing as result was 0-0 was very boring to say least! 2 minds about buying this one!

I downloaded the demo, it auto started and I played it and then saved it. Now I can't find it on my computer to re-play it?! What do you search for? I have tried the obvious like "championship manager 2010"..

To fix the problem
I had this problem before, where the game crashes when it goes to the 1-100% loading screen. Well to fix it you must go into documents, eidos, Championship manager , then go on the 'config' notepad and at the bottom of it, it says VideoCapture = 1, you must change that to VideoCapture = 0 hope it helps.

my copy of the demo also crashes at 0-100% loading screen. seems like theres a generic problem with it. tried it on 2 pc's - 1 is brand new. doesnt bode well for september

Why do they not bring a mac demo out? I have just checked and while there is a pc version on amazon for pre-order there is no mac version!! Another example why Footy Man is better - they care more.
Hi guys, I'm puzzled with my problems running the demo game. I downloaded it and it auto started once the installation was completed. I quit without doing anything as I was busy. I just relaunch the game, and when it comes to the loading screen after the intro (that from 0% to 100% screen), it ended abruptly. Any help out there?

When you select players for European championship you can't enter a players profile without loosing alot of players you selected. :/ seams there needs alot of bug testing before it's released

Does this game really take 45 seconds to the minute? CM should just have the same speeds as FM :/ We can still appreciate the new graphics with a faster setting!

if that's true, one should do nothing 24hrs/day but just play the game and eventually grab something to eat... so, for fastest it should be max 2 mins.. (w/o subs, tactical changes, etc..) please do something about it..

hi The only thing that i dont like in this demo in the time speeder. in very fast it takes 45 sec to pass 1 minute. its too much! they need to work on it
