Has everyone forgotten about poor West Bromwich Albion?

You have to give credit to WBA. While teams around them have bullied their way out of trouble (Bolton, Blackburn, Stoke, Portsmouth, Wigan, even Fulham) with some ugly yet effective football, the Baggies have tried - and failed - to dance the ball around the park.
Even the jovial Frank Skinner, West Brom's famous celeb fan, would fail to find a funny side to their predicament.
All season long, they’ve been utterly rubbish at it, barely stringing four passes together, and losing to just about everyone but Middlesbrough. But at least they’ve tried. Manager Tony Mowbray should be applauded because he hasn’t once dared ditch his footballing principles.
So many clubs are all about the money, and Tony’s chairman will take a massive financial hit when they go down. Odd then, that he’s one of the few managers in the Premeir League who hasn’t seemed remotely under pressure this year.
It’ll be a big loss to lose such a principled side from the top flight, though at times you’d find it hard to know they’re even there. Their escape isn’t really much more impossible than Middlesbrough’s, but the media seem to be all over Gareth Southgate's plight and aren't even bothering with WBA.
When WBA do go down though, it’ll be interesting to see what kind of side replace them.
The form side in the Championship at the moment is Sheffield United, one of the ugliest, most brutal teams since Watford a few years back.
The Baggies neighbours Wolves however play some lovely stuff on the pitch despite having a stereotypical “big target man” who likes balls lumped at his big Scottish head.
They however lost 2-0 to Birmingham this week, another at times very direct team in the mix to take West Brom’s place.
If they lose to Portsmouth this weekend, the end will be near on nigh - and most neutrals will be right to shed a tear and feel emotional at their passing.
What do you think are WBA wise or stupid for sticking with Tony and his plinky plonky passing? Give us your view...

I've got to admit when west brom played against the mighty pool, I thought then that they would come back down to the championship and I still do but if they sack tony mowbary Blackpool will always take him off there hands.
